Studying in Australia

Studying in Australia is permitted for short stay Australian visitor and business visitor visas, however in both cases the candidates may only stay for a maximum of three months. Where a candidate intends to study for a longer period, it will be necessary to apply for an Australian study visa. In most cases, Australian study visas are issued as multiple entry permits which means that successful applicants can enter and depart from Australia a number of times within the life of the visa. The duration granted is normally based upon the duration of the applicant’s course and although this may be a period of several years, applicants may not use an Australian study visa as a route to permanent residency.
